Learning with your hands

When a child measures a branch to build a cabin, they're doing math without even noticing. That's the heart of our workshops: start from a real project, and let the learning follow.

Sometimes the best workbook is a park and a piece of rope.

Three ideas for this week

1. Draw a scale plan of your child's bedroom on graph paper.
2. Cook a recipe and double every quantity.
3. Go on a leaf hunt and sort them by shape.
